Patch Settings in Scene Recall

I'm a relatively new user to the 5D and have an issue with scene save settings. As far as I can see, the board I'm using is setup to record all settings for scene save, but when I recall a scene, the in/out patching (ex: dir outs in Slot-1 w/ an Aviom card) isn't recalled. Changes to patching seem to occur globally and independent of scene save and recall. How do I change this so patching is saved and recalled with each scene?

Hi! We have PM5D ,PM5D-RH and MY-cards Ethersound . Common situation -PM5D - FOH, PM5D-RH - MOH..The idea is-to connect both mixers without splitter...In this case stage signals are routed to the MOH -mixer ,that produces it's monitor mixes .Then, from direct out/pre-HPF of each MOH channel signals are sent through MY-cards to the FOH mixer by Ethersound. Then,FOH mix returns through the same MY-cards by Ethersound directly to corresponding OMNI-outs of the MOH-mixer.
I have a question;

I had to make a recording and decided to do it from mixbus 1&2.

So on every chanel I've put mixbus 1&2 on 0db. (post fader)

The guitar was soft patched from the original input channel 12 to the channels 15&16.(to create a little stereo delay)

When I listened to the recording I've heard everything but the guitar.

Strangely enough i could hear the guitar loud and clear in the room where I was mixing from the speakers and also the fx of the guitar (ch 15,16) ...

I haven't checked out all functions so this is just a preliminary list...

I'm wanting the direct outs to be unaffected by mute groups. I'm using the direct outs to feed an Aviom card and want to be able to use mute groups without them also muting the Avioms, just as you would on an analog board by setting the mutes to be post-aux/pre-fader. The direct out points are set for pre-fader so I'm not sure why they're being muted and I can't find anything in the manual that tells me where the mutes are effective in the signal chain. Only audio out slot 2. Selected the channel showed direct output was slot 2-1. Is it possible to assign to both slot 2 and 3 at the same time?

My user-define button sends a midi-note to play clips from ableton-live and to change scenes in the PM5D.

What i have to figure out is how to send play, pause, next,... commands to an RS232 remotable device(wich controls my screenAV Videoplayback)(watch screenav.de).

Did anyone try that?

Maybe fader-start-things could work.

My question.... almost every time I go to STORE a scene and use the OVERWRITE option, my HA library gets renamed to what ever the scene title is..... I only use 1 HA library and have it named the way I like it.

Does anyone know the procedure for maintaining the naming scheme? This happens only on the HA library.

Some of my faders are slow.

Guys,

I am having an issue regarding faders that are slow to respond. They are sticky. I have spoken with tech support and have opened the faders, cleaned the stainless steel rods which support the rubbing block and re-lubed with MCL. This works on some faders but not always. It seems that the faders which tend to be slow get worse after a few up/down cycles (maybe the motor is warm and weak?). Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know if the motor on the fader is available ...

Loading libraries from memory cards

I have loaded separate files on my memory card for input patch; GEQ settings etc. Now what? What happens to them when I bring them back in to the console. Do they load in to the current scene? Are they planted back in the respective libraries? I can't seem to find them when I re-load them.

Here's the situation. When a outside engineer loads his show in to my PM5D I need to re-create my output routings and GEQ settings for my mains and floor-fills which are driven from the matrix, and derive ...

Cue Out

Making the Cue Out so you can use the "Stereo" faders as a "listen" control for Monitors is one of the best things added in Version 2. It was one of the first things I went looking for when we first used a 5D for Monitors, and couldn't find. Now, it's beautiful!

Being able to mute mixes from the DCA faders is a beaut now with Version 2 as well for Monitor use.

The thing just keeps getting better.

DSP5D integration

Has anyone had a chance yet to play with a PM5D connected to a DSP5D? How seamless is the integration from the point of view of the operator?

Background: We bought a non-RH PM5D two years ago, and while due to lack of funds the RH was never a possibility, all of the operators in our venue frequently lament the lack of recallable headamps. This month I was approached with a generous offer to pay for an "upgrade" to get recallable headamps. While I've known all along that the console ...
